CCLL Pool Player Process
- Why do we have a Player Pool?
- To assist managers/coaches to have enough players to field a team for games. Note, the Pool Player process is a common practice throughout Little League Baseball.
- Which Divisions can use Pool Players?
- Juniors, Intermediates, Majors, AAA, AA, and A-Ball
- Where do the players come from?
- Juniors – From active CCLL Juniors Rosters
- Intermediates – From active CCLL Intermediate Rosters
- Majors – From active CCLL Majors Rosters
- AAA – From Active CCLL AAA Rosters
- AA – From Active CCLL AA Rosters

- How does a manager request a player?
- Send an email to CCLL Player Agent Erin Rohde to request a pool player. The player agent will contact the player(s) and assign as needed.
- Pool players should be utilized when a team has fewer than 10 players.
- Once confirmed, pool players cannot be canceled.
- When can a manager contact the PA to request players?
- As soon as you know you are in need. The sooner the better!
- Can Managers/Coaches request the player(s) they want?
- No, Player Agent will assign the players. The Player Agent uses a preset list of players and calls them in order.
- What are these Do’s and Don’ts of these players?
- Pool Players are prohibited during the Mid Season Classic and End of Year Tournament
- Make your requests as early as possible.
- These players can play any position other than pitcher
- Pool players must play at least nine consecutive defensive outs and bat once.
- They must bat at the bottom of the order after all regular team members
- If you have 2 Pool players they bat in the last 2 spots
- You cannot recruit players to play for your team; only the PA can assign players, not on your active Roster.
- You cannot cancel a pool player once the player has been confirmed
